About Bad Azz BBQ

Bad Azz BBQ is a local and family-owned barbeque company based near Pittsburgh’s historic Southside. We have both a brick-and mortar pickup location and a mobile smoker unit.

Our family has always had a passion for cooking. My dad, Scott Bradley Sr., was the home Cook-in-Chief. Eventually he mastered the art of smoking meats and was soon obsessed with all types of barbecue fare. Whether pork, chicken or beef, everyone that tried his barbecue dishes became hooked. And it was like he was on a mission while he worked on perfecting his homemade barbecue sauce. His baby is now Bad Azz BBQ’s signature and award-winning sauce.

I’m Stacy Bradley, Scott’s daughter. While in college studying business, my dad figured out a way for me to off-set the expenses of a college education by suggesting I start my own catering and food-vending business. And the most natural choice for cuisine? Barbecue, of course!

So with my father’s guidance I created Bad Azz BBQ. I initially planned to run Bad Azz only until graduation. However, Bad Azz BBQ flourished very quickly around the same time that I realized I had the same passion for cooking as my father. Bad Azz BBQ has been moving forward ever since.

We’re known for our award-winning, homemade barbeque sauce and food. We specialize in freshly smoked ribs, slow roasted pulled pork, smoked barbecue chicken and savory beef brisket. Our mouth-watering barbeque is accompanied by succulent side dishes including homemade barbecue baked beans, smoked mac’ n’ cheese, Bad Azz slaw and much more!

We do not use any propane or fossil fuel to prepare our food; everything is smoked using 100% hard wood.

Though we’re stationed in Pittsburgh, that doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy travelling. Bad Azz BBQ has won many awards in national rib festivals throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Feel free to contact us if you’d like to discuss our catering or mobile server options.

In September 2018, Bad Azz BBQ was announced the Heinz Field Rib Festival winners for the 5th year in a row, naming us the first local ‘ribbers’ and the first female to ever take home that award! Along with that, we have won numerous awards from The National Berea Ohio Rib Festival, Akron Ohio’s National Rib Festival, The Paradise Park Rib Festival, the Altoona PA Rib Festival and many more.

Our team stands behind our food’s quality. Our guarantee is, “If you don’t like it, we’ll buy it back!”

And thank you to our loyal customers for making us Pittsburgh’s #1 BBQ five years in a row!
